Yes! You can make your Chromebook run like new again by doing a factory reset.
A factory reset erases all the information on your Chromebook's hard drive, including all the files in the Downloads folder.
Before you reset, make sure to back up your files on Google Drive or an external hard drive. The factory reset won't delete any of your files on Google Drive or external storage device.

1. Click the menu on the bottom right of the screen.
2. Then tap Settings.
2. Scroll down and tap Show Advanced Settings.
3. Scroll down and tap Powerwash.
4. Tap Restart.
Wait for a while to complete and once successful it will display a welcome page for you where you have to connect to the internet and then login to your Google account to start working...
